Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts & Community Enrichment (FACE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) professional performing arts presenting organization located in Northwest Houston, successfully in operation since 1997.

Mission The mission of Cypress Creek FACE is to be a cultural anchor for the community dedicated to excellence in presenting a wide array of accessible, quality performances and professional performing artists. FACE is a catalyst for collaborative educational endeavors that elevate the quality of life for young people, adults and seniors through the arts.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Spring, TX, for an Executive Director for Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts (FACE). The Executive Director will oversee the strategic and operational management of the organization, driving its mission to foster arts and education within the community. Daily responsibilities include managing staff and volunteers, overseeing fundraising and grant applications, artist selection and engagement, audience development, developing and implementing programs, and cultivating relationships with stakeholders. The Executive Director will also manage the foundation’s budget, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and represent the organization publicly to enhance its visibility and impact.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the arts: A deep understanding of, relationships with, and passion for the performing arts sector.
  • Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to inspire and oversee staff, volunteers, and committee members
  • Fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations experience
  • Financial management and budgeting expertise
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach
  • Experience in program development and event management, professional artist engagement & production, marketing and audience development
  • Knowledge of arts administration and educational programming is highly desirable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a board of directors and local community leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree related to Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in a leadership or executive role within a nonprofit organization
